wir fliegen in ca. 2 Wochen nach Bali und haben es leider verpasst uns gegen Tollwut impfen zu lassen.
Wir haben aber gehört, dass nach einem Biss immer noch eine postexpositionelle Prophylaxe, die Notfallimpfung gibt.
Ein laut Empfehlungen sehr gutes Krankenhaus auf Bali, auch nicht weit von unserem Hotel entfernt, soll das Bali International Medical Center sein.
Auf deren Homepage steht unter den FAQ folgendes zum Thema Tollwut-Impfung nach einem Biss:
Post-exposure treatment, which consists of local nursing and care of the wound, followed by vaccine therapy (with or without rabies immunoglobulin) should be initiated immediately.

For post exposure in previously un-vaccinated patients, the injections will be done on day 2 (2x injections), day 7 and day 21. Rabies vaccine is available at BIMC hospitals under the name ‘Verorab’, manufactured by Sanofi-Pasteur. This vaccine is approved by WHO for pre and post exposure vaccination and contains purified vero cell vaccine (PVRV). Wenn man nun aber im Internet nachschaut, wird eigentlich immer ein Schema angegeben, bei dem an den Tagen 0, 3, 7, 14 und 28 (30) geimpft wird...
Ist das vom Krankenhaus angegebene Impfschema auch in Ordnung oder sollte auf jeden Fall schon am Tag des Bisses (0) eine Impfung erfolgen?
